Today was the day to have the staples removed. When I got there the nurse asked me if they gave me a staple remover at the hospital. I turned to Adam, eyebrows scrunched up in confusion and awe at this question. "Umm... no.." All I could visualize were the standard staple removers you find in Staples and it gave us the giggles. Having the staples taken out was painless, a few pinches and it was done.. I have to say I do love all the doctors at this office. I have a follow up appointment in 5 weeks. I've got to find a hemetologist ASAP- figure out why my iron is so low or why I have a resistance to absorbing it. I'm also pumping breast milk which the doctor reminded me takes a lot out of you. I can't wait until the Medela pump comes tmrw. I used it today at the hospital and it's so much easier, especially since it does both at one time. Enough about me..
Lucian is still desaturating - it's fine after they suction him but I will be happier when that stabalizes. They're taking well to having breastmilk - even if it is a verrry tiny amount given over a loong period of time. I got to change Emma-Sky's diaper today so now I've changed both their diapers. Emma's eyes are going to open any day now and Lucian's eyes are starting to open too. :)

ReplyDeleteI pray every day babe. miss you.
Hi, Jane. Carolyn B. here.
ReplyDeleteAs per my colleague, there is an excellent hematology office, though it's out in Manhasset.
Her doctor is: Richard S. Forte, M.D.

1201 Northern Blvd.
Manhasset, NY

There are about 4 other practitioners there, too. My co-worker is pleased with their expertise and thorough, professional ethics.
Good luck, and God bless you all.
