Quick update

Emma's able to take all of her feedings by bottle now. Yesterday she took 40 ccs.. I fed her 35 but she spit it all up as she burped. My first official baby spit up.. :) She's out of the isolette finally and her IV is gone! Being on the iv so long, her liver had to work more than it should have so she's a bit jaundice. Adam's always said he felt she was but the nurses said no.. She'll need to take medication for a few weeks so she'll have it when she comes home. Lucian is taking 55 ccs by bottle with less episodes of desaturation. The surgeons are conflicted concerning operating on his hernia now or wait a month or two when his testicle is bigger. He has an undescended testicle and one surgeon says he 'won't touch it'. Meanwhile he's constantly straining and pushing turning beet red and when he does that it only makes the hernia worse. So we're waiting for them to decide what to do... weigh the benefits and risks of having the surgery now or later on. They both looked so cute last night.. I pray they are home very soon.. A baby on Lucian's side is septic and I worry they will get sick from being there.
